climbing cutie hegre

What better way of experiencing the raw beauty of nature than through careful planning and preparation of a good camping or hiking excursion. We have all seen great lists of camping essentials, but there are some items you should not do without.

If you are new to camping and have nobody to advise you on how to go about it you could spend sometime browsing through the various books and websites related to camping. Indoor climbing is a good place to start because it is far less intimidating to ease your way into the sport. I admit hiking can be very tough on your legs and back and I have almost not made a few of my hikes.

If you will be traveling in the mountains, try bicycling to get ready. To start, you can get by with basic hiking equipment such as rations, tents and sleeping bags. Use your axe to split large pieces of wood into firewood.

No matter which type of lantern you use always play safeand never store a hot gas lantern near any flammable materials or leave any open flames unattended. Besides bread and fruits you can even take dehydrated meals that only require the addition of water.
