campfire skewer - it's all here

Before setting out on your camping or hiking expedition check and then double check your gear for the most relevant items you will need on the trip. There are many outdoor activities you can do, you can go hiking, camping, canoeing, kayaking and so on.

In general, if a higher quality camping tent is needed the more dollars should be allocated. As you grow into camping and gain experience, you can buy an RV or add quality camping gear. Candles will are the most cost effective form of light but you have to be very careful not to start a fire with them.

Remember, you will be traveling over boulders and other rough surfaces at times and want to be able to press off the ground with confidence that your boots will provide the right amount of support. There are plenty of foods that you can carry along when you go camping. On the east coast we simply put up with the rain.

Think about purchasing hiking boots like searching for a hotel on your honeymoon. Depending on some of the options that you have, you may even be able to get internet and cell phone accesses. I stopped getting blisters the moment I gave up hiking boots and hiking socks.

When winter camping make sure to bring food that may be eaten without heating up. Read a good book with the wind whispering through the leaves.
